After yet another unsuccessful attempt at public school for my kinesthetic and visual learner, I find myself again providing intensive, quality, one-on-one teaching -- in our new house.
Our new house where there is a fully finished basement room now fully dedicated as my new classroom. Imagine it. Educational posters gleaming from every wall, ongoing reference sheets stay where they're put, windows used for full-color overhead teaching sheets...I'm in Heaven. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your kindness and generosity. No more husband standing over me (that's what it felt like -- he works nights and is home all day) critiquing my techniques and questioning my disciplinary tactics.
Wow, there's nothing like five hours a day of intensive, multisensory, one-on-one, teaching to watch a child fall in love with learning again.
